This exciting program is primarily designed for children between the ages of 3 years and 5 years of age (PreK-Prepa). Based on the very best early years practice, the units of work help children develop in a way which is appropriate for their age. This age group is also frequently referred to as Kinder.
The overriding purpose of Early Years Education is to help children develop the skills and attitudes they will need both at this level and throughout a lifetime of learning. The program consists of units of work, each based on a theme chosen to appeal to young children – for example “Sand and Water”. The teachers design classroom activities for their children that let them achieve the learning outcomes and have fun.
The Learning Outcomes
The Early Years Program is based on clearly defined learning outcomes. They cover learning in four different strands:
- Independence and interdependence
- Healthy living
